I started my career in the studio department creating Ford dealer newspaper ads learning the best way to typeset “0% APR for 60 months.” At the time I couldn’t wait to make better use of my creativity. Ironically, 19 years later I have still needed to typeset a dealer offer at the end of a commercial.

Between that time, I’ve crafted brand stories for national and regional clients in the automotive, hospitality, home good, healthcare, government and energy categories. Brands can be very personal things. I believe good advertising is an idea that somebody wants to be a part of. Something that people connect to and are willing to share as their own.

Being a good student of my clients and their customers is essential in this business. I’ve learned the history of NASCAR, the proper way to change a light bulb on a streetlight, and the tricks of shooting a milkshake. I’ve found myself at dirt tracks in rural North Carolina, camping in 0 degrees in the middle of Utah, and learning the humbling stories of soldiers wounded in battle.

Although I like a good craft service as much as the next person, I thrive on applying my DIY mindset to make an idea come to life…even if it means hanging on to the DP in the back of a speeding truck to get the perfect shot.

When I’m not working you can find me on the rugby pitch or camping with my family as far away from cell service as possible.

A few of the brands I’ve worked on include:

GMC / Buick / Hummer / GM Certified Service / GM Marine
GM Powertrain / Chevy Performance / United Way / WIX Filters
Jaws of Life / Florida Lottery / Zaxby’s / Shoney’s
